Anoke | 6 Months Old Today! [December 2, 2008]

Milestones:
• turns towards sounds and voices
• is ready for solid foods (had his first food today: banana!)
• sits in a tripod position without support (for a short time)
• mouths objects
• passes objects from hand to hand
• brings up back legs to begin to crawl
• arches back and scoots down
• rolls a little
• jabbers and combines syllables (Anoke now says, "mum" and "mum mum")
• draggs object towards himself
• can distinguish between friends & family and strangers (experiences stranger anxiety)
• laughs and giggles!
• stands while being held under his arms or waist
• holds a bottle with both hands
• picks things up with thumb-finger pincer grasp
• understands simple instructions
• his little teeth are about to cut through...any day now!
